What is Cornerstone 2.0?
I'm glad you asked!
08.09.10
We have been in the new office for a
week now and things are starting to resemble a little more "normal"
whatever "normal" is.
We've had computer
crashes, e-mail crashes, and people crashes but we are making
progress. It took over 2 weeks to make the transition and there were
times when I though I had made the biggest mistake of my life. But
as we get farther from the move we are beginning to settle in and as
a little more routine is coming it is feeling more and more like
"home". Well not really home because now home is where I can go to
get away from work. That is one thing we were unable to do for the
last 10 years, get away from work, because work was in our home.
The next big part of
Cornerstone
2.0 will be the new web roll out
which will be sometime in the next 2 months. I suspect that will
have its own set of issues but we will get through because that is
what we do, we get through.
Be richly BLESSED!

Construction is a little behind on the
new office/warehouse but we are still planning on making the move
this week. Our phones will be installed on Tuesday and construction
is expected to be completed on Thursday.
We are going to
close our office on Thursday PM to pack up and prepare to move in on
Friday and Saturday. We will have to move the computers in over the
weekend and do some upgrades when we can do so without have to take
orders. We hope to be all ready to reopen
Cornerstone 2.0
on Monday Aug 2, 2010 with no problems!
However we do ask
you bear with us as all kinds of behind the scenes things go on that
could foul up our plans (pun intended!). Any orders we receive
Thurs of Fri will ship (hopefully) on Monday.
We have a busy week ahead of us but
sometime there is a little pain in the growing process.
I know Peg will enjoy having her rooms
back (see below) and in addition Friday is her
birthday! So we have to allow some party time in there as well!!
I'm not sure I spoke about this earlier
but Peg and I have been doing this by ourselves for the last 10
years. We have decided to hire a person and as soon as we can get
all the paperwork in order we will have a new employee starting.
An amazing thing is that through one of
the worst economic times in Americas history Cornerstone has been
able to grow. I am delighted to get to know our customers and have
the opportunity to see you prosper . Your wisdom and faith to step
out to produce the top quality meats and eggs you do is an
inspiration that makes us want to continue to provide products and
services that are going to allow both of us to flourish in the
future.

Our tentative moving dates are
Wednesday July 28-30, 2010 with an opening on Aug. 1st.
We will be using both the new and old telephone numbers during the
transition and phase out the 607.334.2833 number in a week or later.
Our new address will be 15 Silver
St., Norwich, NY 13815 our new phone number will be 607.334.9962 our
fax will stay the same as will our e-mail address.
07.12.10
After 10 years
selling, teaching and promoting poultry processing equipment
Cornerstone Farm Ventures will be moving to a new location. we have
operated from our farm since we started in 2001. As we have
grown we have used our barns for warehouse space, our garage for
storage and have had to ship out of our dining room.
Recently a
friend of mine offered to help expand the business to cover more
product lines and provide more services to our customers. The first
thing he said was "get out of your house!". It didn't take much
convincing to get me to agree so we started looking around for a
building that would meet our needs. We found what we hope will meet
our needs for a few more years and are ready to begin renovations
within a week.
As of now we are
looking for a move in date of Aug. 2, 2010. As with all moves we
expect some hiccups in the process and we hope you will bear with us
as we progress.
In addition to a
new building we will also be upgrading our website. We have been
limited to receiving on line orders through PayPal. While this has
served us well it has its limitations and we have had complaints
concerning the high shipping fees for small items. This is due to
the limitations of PayPal and with our new site we will also have a
better shopping cart setup that will allow for actual shipping costs
instead of flat fees.
So all in all we
are looking forward to Cornerstone 2.0 and hope that you will be
also. We will be updating this website with information as we move
forward, so check back soon!
Thank you for
your support these last 10 years it has been an amazing time for us!
To God be the glory!
