Ashley Sure-Scald is the most widely used off the-line scalder on the market. It is designed for compact areas, yet is high in production performance and is readily adaptable to line equipment.

Ashley Sure-Pick will pick to perfection upland game birds, fryers, fowl and turkeys. Its reliability and compact design have made it one of the most popular pickers used where economy and limited space are factors.

Ashley Manual Pickers are constructed of heavy gauge steel and aluminum. These economy leaders have been used by processors worldwide for over sixty years.

 

Our Ashley pickers have one superior design advantage--a conical-shaped centrifuge. The cone shape permits birds to freely rotate for a clean pick. By contrast, flat centrifuges result in birds piling up in the center. The result is a poor pick, having to run the picker longer (at risk to skin breakage) or having to hand pick birds. The Feather Exhaust, a feature developed by Ashley, helps the processor with feather handling problems. The Automatic Unloading Door is self-closing. The door latch is operated by the start button, which simultaneously starts the timer and opens the automatic water valve. The work shelf, feather exhaust, and automatic door are standard features: however adjustable legs and catch table are optional features for the SP-30 and SP-38 pickers.

This picker is designed for quail but is also a nice economy unit for any requirement--broilers, pigeons, or pheasant. Excellent unit for the pastured poultry operation. Compared to other pickers, the fingers are more densely placed on the centrifuge and cylinder. The SP23 was not designed for continual use for turkeys, however the quality of the unit is rugged enough to do 1-2 small hen turkeys or a tom up to 24 lbs. $3600.00 FOB

Built for Maximum Scalding Capacity with Minimum Labor

Ashley manufactures some of the very best scalder's in the industry. We have both galvanized as well as stainless steel scalder's available.

The Ashley Sure-Scald incorporates many features which eliminate unnecessary, time consuming motions from the scalding job. Designed for large production in limited space-no shackles or conveyor needed. Birds are not confined, but tumble freely, thus insuring a thorough scald. The accurate timing device and sensitive thermostat eliminate guesswork. Inner tank is constructed of 10-gauge and 3/16" steel, hot-dip galvanized. Available in three sizes SS30, SS36, SS48.

Killing Line Conveyors
Conveyors are built for USDA approval. Units can be used with killing tunnels. Reversible. Vari-speed drive. Corrosion-resistant aluminum gearbox, drive and take-up. Stainless steel track and trolleys. Our bolt together design allows quick assembly and also permits easy expansion. 3/4 horsepower motor, 115V, 60 Hz.

4 or 6 Man Eviscerating Trough
The 8 or 10 foot stationary eviscerating unit fills the need between a processor who needs more capacity than our eviscerating table, but who does not require an automatic line. The stainless steel trough  is the same as the trough section on our EV16 line. There are four gooseneck wash spigots and four trigger valves and hose for four operators. Place our offal cart at the end of the trough as you would with our automatic line.

Eviscerating Line Conveyor System
The conveyor is the same as listed above. We add components shown below to make an eviscerating system. Hardware for ceiling suspension is not included. Vari-speed drive allows you to adjust line speed and is also reversible. If you plan to process 500 or more birds per hour you will need this system.
Components included with each system are:
• Eviscerating Trough w/gooseneck wash spigots, trigger valves, and hose.
• Splash shields mounts where birds are washed.
• Stainless steel giblet station, 20" wide, 33" long, 37 1/2" tall.
• Combination Turkey/broiler shackles spaced at 1' intervals (included).

 Offal Cart
This offal cart is a handy accessory for use with eviscerating lines, tables or stationary eviscerating units. Use it to catch inedible offal. The perforated insert collects solids while liquids remain at the bottom. Completely portable with four (4) casters and handles.

Stainless Steel Gizzard Peeler
The hardened, spiral cut rolls are direct driven. The drive cannot slip as with a belt driven machine. A 1/3 horse power with gear reducer turns the peeler rolls at 288 RPM. A double pole switch allows you to reverse the rolls in the event anything becomes entrapped in the rolls.
